Kids' Traffic Safety School

Our first annual Kid's Traffic Safety School was a success. We had nearly 100 families in attendance. The children enjoyed the tricycle track downstairs, face-painting and balloon art by the Laugh Pack Clowns, free books, popcorn, barbequed hotdogs and a raffle for both a boy's and girl's bike. 150 helmets were fitted and given away to each child who attended, and parents were shown the proper way to secure their child�s car seat.

Thank you to the volunteer firefighters for bringing a "real" fire truck and for handing out kids fire hats. Also, we would like to thank the volunteers from the Port Angeles police department, as well as downtown resource officer Duane Benedict. A special thanks to Dr. Cynthia Martin from First Teacher for her support. We hope you will join us next year when we do this again!
