I was somewhat apprehensive last week as I was driving some 350 miles to purchase a car I had never seen from someone I didn't know! Worse yet, it was someone I had met on the Internet - it could have been a total waste of my time.
As it turned out, it was one of those special golden days when everything turned out just great. The car was even better than I expected and I was happy with the price. You made me feel very comfortable - like doing business with an old friend! As I was leaving it was a delightful surprise to find that my new car had a full tank of gas!

My year-long crossover vehicle search had been frustrating. I took countless test drives, loading 3 (then 4) kids in and out of various vehicles to find the one that “fit” our family. I loved the GMC Acadia but watched rebates come and go with the economic fluctuations and interacted with auto salespeople that were 1) pushy, or 2) knew less than I did about the crossover car market, or 3) told me they could “hear from my voice on the phone that I actually wanted an Escalade,” or 4) priced cars $5,000 above MSRP, or 5) promised deals that could not be honored when we came into the dealership, and on and on.
When I crossed paths with Ray Robinette at Ruddell Auto after an internet query for a GMC Acadia, my searching experience changed drastically. I was in Wyoming and Ray was in Washington, but I easily made the choice that distance did not matter when I could deal with someone that competent and professional. We put together a great deal on a great vehicle, and I still cannot believe how easy it was. My husband flew out after a business trip and picked up the car so I, unfortunately, have never met Ray in person. But I don’t need to meet him to know that dealing with him and Ruddell Auto was the smoothest and most simple auto-buying experience I could have ever hoped for. I just wish I had started the year-long search at Ruddell so I could have ended it sooner and avoided the frustration!

5 years ago I purchased a new ’03 GMC Sierra pickup from Dale Turton at Ruddell Auto Mall. It has been a very good commuter/work truck for me. I commute hundreds of miles every week to and from the Puget Sound area, besides the hundreds of miles during the week that I travel in the area for my work. I’ve put a lot of miles on it and I’m happy I own it and recommend GMC and Ruddell. I have a story to tell: Recently, my wife and I were traveling up a mountain dirt road and our truck acted as though it was running out of gas (it turned out it hadn’t). Then it stopped running completely, as nearly did our hearts! Alone, up a dirt road – we were very distraught. One car came by and I thought it was going to stop, but it kept going. We felt very stranded. I checked everything I could think of but I couldn’t find any reason for the engine to stop running like it did. We had cell phone reception and it was 5:55pm. I hoped Kerry was still at the service desk – she was! She gave us a phone number to call for a rescue tow and gave us her cell phone # to reach her if needed, since it was now after-hours. And she said she would come back to the dealership to help us when we got there. All together it took 3 calls to her before we were on the road again. In one of the phone conversations she walked me through a procedure that might get our truck running again, but it was ‘iffy’. I would never have figured it out on my own – and it worked! Turns out we had a ‘stuck’ fuel pump. It had either gotten plugged or just stalled on its way to going out completely. Thanks to Kerry, we were on the road again and made it all the way to Ruddell’s. Kerry could’ve just told us to call for a tow and let it go at that. But she didn’t just let it go – she made us feel that we were the most important thing in her life at the time and assured us that she would see us through this. She gave us assurance and hope when we needed it the most, and through her assistance over the phone, she actually rescued us! We were very, very impressed with her willingness to give of her personal time, and the assurance she would give of her time as much as we needed. Because of Kerry Dewey’s excellent customer service way beyond the call of duty, we are even more committed than ever to purchase our next vehicle from Ruddell’s and we recommend the Service Department at Ruddell Auto Mall as a first choice for service!
As a local body shop manager here in Port Angeles I am glad to know that when parts are needed to keep the shop running at full speed I can depend on Duane Blank and his team to make sure we are taken care of. Thanks Ruddells for helping us run a smoother buisness.

Last Monday I had my 2003 CTS fully detailed by your service department. Since I had a wedding to attend on Saturday and was leaving Wednesday morning, your staff made sure I could get it done Monday. From the beginning to the end, I was so pleased with the over all service I received from your organization. The best part was the detail work! The car felt and looked like it did the day we bought it 8 years ago. It even drove like new.
